The Beginning Before becoming a lamp work artist, I had touched on just
about every form of art available to me since I could hold a
crayon. But in the last 2 years I have found
something that seems to suit me best, and that is glass beads. I
took my first bead making class from Leslie Videki, and have
been making beads and doing bead shows since then. I dream about
beads all day and all night and continuously think of new designs
and techniques to try out next, I'm always afraid that I'll forget
some of my ideas before I can make them! I can only hope you will
find my glass beads as fascinating and unique as I do, just like a
freshly fallen snowflakes no two ever alike.
Finding Something I
Enjoy I first learned how to create
glass beads two years ago, I was previously fazed out of
my job. I wanted to find something that was nearer and dearer
to my heart than office work. There's absolutely nothing
wrong with office work, it's just something most people who know me
well would have never guessed I'd do. A friend had convinced
me to go downstate with my beads to show them off at
a bead show to see how I would do, and although I was
hesitant, I did it anyway and I actually sold some of my
beads! From there, Andrea Lindell Designs
blossomed and I now work full-time in the glass
bead making business. I love working on my torch, I lose
track of time when I'm in my studio!
Touching Those with
Creativity Almost all of my products are
created for and sold to jewelry artists, wholesalers, and crafty
individuals. If I have extra time I make some of my
own beaded jewelry, knit scarves, and stained glass pieces.
However, my sole intentions go toward you and other craftsmen
interested in making the finished products with my glass
beads.
